ISO Shipping Container Conversion
ISO shipping containers are such a good structural design and size, they are perfect for converting to a vast number of alternative uses. Marine & General Services Ltd. has the experience and facilities to handle the entire container conversion process for you from sourcing the container itself to delivering the final finished project to your location.
Container Coversion : Boiler Package
Marine & General Services Ltd. was contracted by K.A.Watts Pumbing & Heating Ltd. to provide a temporary boiler package to provide hot water and heating to the first phases of homes to be released at the award winning Barratt Homes, Pan Meadows development at Newport, Isle of Wight.
The solution was to convert a standard 20 foot ISO Shipping Container into a bespoke boiler plant suppliing the district heating loop for up to 846 family homes. Natural gas and diesel oil fired boilers developing a combined output of 1050kW were procured from Hamworthy Heating Ltd of Poole, Dorset.
Our design incorporated all interconnecting pipework, power , control and instrumentation including two Grundfoss variable speed pumps that will control the flow and return of hot water according to the demand.
The completed package was built at our works in Poole and delivered to the Isle of Wight on time, on budget. This temporary solution will remain on line until the permanent biomass boiler is completed.
Boiler Package Design
Marine & General Services Ltd. has designed an efficient boiler package (central heating system) suited to a container conversion. The design can be adapted to suit different energy requirements, this design has been tried and tested and is currently installed on-site for Barratt Homes.

Container Conversion : Chemical Dosing Module for
a Turkish Gold Mine
Marine & General Services Ltd. converted a 40ft ISO shipping container into a chemical dosing module, complete with chemical dosing rigs and a full mechanical and electrical installation.
